So, this happened. After getting home after my last Chemo and Radiation. I was starting to feel pretty good. The next step of the plan was immunotherapy. Well, as with any there are sometime kinks well, this is mine.
Apparently in some rare cases, less than 1% the medication (Infimzy) causes an in faction in the lung it is supposed to be helping and causes it to swell. Leaving it unable to process oxygen into the blood stream so, apparently he body burns itself out try to compensate. I had a regular follow up with m Oncologist and next thingI know, I’m giving oxygen and being hauled down to ER. I’m still not completely clear on everything but unless this infection clears up and I’m able process oxygen on my own, they are going to have to do some kind of procedure that will clean out the lung. Will have to tell you more later cause I really don’t understand it all

Thanks…so far that’s being treated as a lost resort. they are going to change the antibiotic and see if that helps
